The Town of Windsor community is invited to participate in Windsor's second annual Kindness Week February 11-17. Each day of Kindness Week, community members are challenged to participate in daily activities focused on fostering community support and kindness. The daily challenges include:

- Sunday: Service Sunday, kick off the week with a good deed or act of service. Drop off donations for the Windsor Severance Food Pantry — nonperishable food items, diapers and other baby items, or school supplies — at Safeway and King Soopers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Monday: Senior Smiles, brighten the day of a Windsor senior citizen.
- Tuesday: Reach Out and Write, connect with someone who has impacted your life. Printable notecards will be available on the Town of Windsor’s Facebook page (facebook.com/windsorgov).
- Wednesday: Share the Love — Pay it Forward, extend kindness to others rather than a person that may have directly helped you.
- Thursday: Thank an Educator, recognize a teacher, mentor, or school staff member that has made a difference.
- Friday: Recognize First Responders and Veterans, thank you banners for Windsor first responders and veterans will be available to sign at the Community Recreation Center and Clearview Library.
- Saturday: Neighborly Nod, do something kind for your neighbor — shovel their walk, bring them goodies, or just spend time together!

Dedicated model railroaders from Colorado and Wyoming will be sharing their craftsmanship layouts at the 21st Annual Rails in the Rockies exhibit in the Estes Park Event Center.

Organized by the Estes Valley Model Railroaders, the show incorporates working exhibits of all gauges from the tiny “z” to the toy train “G” gauge along with British and German railroads.

There are lots of family activities: the Estes club “Kids Layout” where children can run trains, push buttons and enjoy Thomas the Train, the fun Seek and Search game to challenge all, the popular LEGO Layout for “kids of all ages” and the Youth in Model Railroading layouts sharing the love of the hobby and their developing skills.

New this year will be a “Maker Space” to include how to’s on creating a layout with all the details and secrets.

Exhibit hours for the show are from: 9 – 5 on Saturday, February 17 and 9 – 4 on Sunday, February 18. Admission is $7 a person with children 12 and under free with an adult. A family rate is $20.
