Carter Lake Valley is located a short distance south of Carter Lake on County Road 31. This mountainous neighborhood is across from Carter Lake swimming and boating and is within a ten minute drive to Berthoud, Loveland and Longmont. Homes in Carter Lake Valley are in the 766 to 2600 plus livable square foot range with lots from one half to one plus acres. Carter Lake Valley homes were started in the mid fifties, however most homes were built much later and older homes have been totally renovated. Major shopping for Carter Lake Valley is located in Longmont and Loveland. Downtown Longmont has an array of shopping and dining establishments. On South Hover is the Village at the Peaks Mall that offers an array of shopping and dining experiences as well. Heading north to Loveland is Downtown Loveland and all its shopping and dining and the Chilson Recreation facility that offer activities for all ages. From Highway 287 (Cleveland Avenue), heading east on East 1st Street is Winona Pool with its green lounging lawn and fantastic water slide. Further east on East 1st Street is the new Loveland Sports Park across from Mountain View High School. At the Eisenhower Boulevard (Highway 34) - interstate 25 interchange is the new Promenade at Centerra shopping complex, Budweiser Events Center & The Ranch, Market Place at Centerra and the new Medical Center of the Rockies. Schools are Berthoud Elementary School, Turner Middle School and Berthoud High School.
