Cottonwood Park is located a short distance west of interstate 25 with County Road 62 (Jefferson Avenue) being the northern border of this new development. Homes in Cottonwood Park have been under construction since two thousand and fourteen with construction continuing into two thousand and fifteen. Cottonwood Park homes are in the 1100 to 1800 livable square foot range and are most homes are being built by J. Goodell Builders and Noco Builders. Cottonwood Park is a new up and coming addition to Wellington with mid range priced homes. Shopping in Wellington is limited with Bella's Market being the main grocery store. Other shopping is in north Fort Collins at the Willox and Highway 287 (College Avenue) with a King Sooper as well as Downtown Fort Collins. A short drive down interstate 25 to the Harmony Road interchange is the new Costco and Walmart and, two minutes west on Harmony, the new Front Range Village shopping complex with an array of shopping and dining establishments. Further to the south of the Harmony Road - interstate 25 interchange at the interstate 25 and Highway 34 interchange (Loveland exit) is the new Promenade at Centerra shopping complex, the Market Place at Centerra Mall and the new Medical Center of the Rockies. Recreational opportunities close to Wellington is the Soapstone Prairie Natural Area and Red Mountain Open Space to the north with the Poudre Canyon to the West. Schools are Eyestone Elementary, Wellington Middle School and Poudre High School.
