Felte is east of Highway 257 and a north of Main Street. Building in Felte started in the mid sixties and homes in Felte have no HOA. Some homes in Felte have lake views and some have commercial applications. Felte is centrally located were homeowners can walk on paved path to Downtown Windsor, the Community Recreation Center, Windsor Lake and is an easy walk to Windsor Middle School and Windsor High School. Within ten minutes and to the west of Windsor is interstate 25, the Loveland/Fort Collins Airport, the Budweiser Events Center & The Ranch, the new Medical Center of the Rockies and the Promenade at Centerra, Loveland's new center that offers an array of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences. Heading north to the Fort Collins Harmony Road exit on interstate 25 and you arrive at the new Costco - Walmart. Golf courses in the Windsor area are Pelican Lakes at Water Valley, the Highland Meadows Golf Course & Tennis Center as well as the private Jack Nicklaus signature Ptarmigan Country Club golf course. For outdoor recreation there is the Poudre River Trail and Frank State Wildlife Area close by and an array of Windsor parks that are within easy walking or driving distance. A few minutes west of interstate 25 and CO-392 is the eight hundred and ten acre Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area, located on the south side of Fossil Lake, was deemed an “Important Bird Area” by the National Audubon Society in two thousand and one and is home to one hundred and sixty three different bird species including the bald eagle, great blue heron, and great horned owl. Schools are Tozar Elementary School, Windsor Middle School and Windsor High School.
