Garden East is located directly west of County Road 257 and south of County Road 392 (main street Windsor). Building started in Garden East in the mid nineties and home are in the 1000 to 2000 livable square foot range. Garden East is a popular location in Windsor due to the non-existent HOA and proximity to Chimney Park Pool and Downtown Windsor. A few minutes west of interstate 25 and CO-392 is the eight hundred and ten acre Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area, located on the south side of Fossil Lake, was deemed an “Important Bird Area” by the National Audubon Society in two thousand and one and is home to one hundred and sixty three different bird species including the bald eagle, great blue heron, and great horned owl. Schools are Tozar Elementary School, Windsor Middle School and Windsor High School.
